Happy New Year!

what you couldn't see
make you see what you do see:
keyholes sharpen the thrill
of your
          will,
Even if you are alone in the room,
Shadows waft cross the white wall
as whispers drift in from the window,
the voice is so soothing
that you can see the face
it comes
            from,
that's it.

The Earthwoman and the Waterwoman By Denise Levertov

The earthwoman by her oven
tends her cakes of good grain.
The waterwoman's children
are spindle thin.
                     The earthwoman
          has oaktree arms. Her children
full of blood and milk
          stamp through the woods shouting.
                    The waterwoman
sings gay songs in a sad voice
                    with her moonshine children.
when the earthwoman
has had her fill of the good day
she curls tom sleep in her warm hut
          a dark fruit cake sleep
but the waterwoman
goes dancing in the kisty lit-up town
in dragonfly dresses and blue shoes.

Central American Sketches Crossing Kansas By Train

Google.com

Foggy sky,
Misty trees,
Tall thin telephone poles,
Birds sit on wires
like connected dots,
Farm houses,
Closed doors,
Words knock
in mind,
with inspirations
unfold like umbrellas,
Moving bicycles under
raincoats,
bleeding
traffic lights,
Kansas Town
wet, muddy,
and quiet,
like the yawn
above
you delicate
gown...

Drops of Water on Rocks

Google.com

drops of water
hit the surface
of a rock,
the weight may
only do slight
scratches
in the beginning,
you won't see
any differences
in the stone,
but if you let
drops of water
fall on the rock
consistently,
continuously,
...
for
days,
weeks,
months,
years,
decades,
centuries,
...
after a blue moon,
you shall see
the holes on
rocks,
which implies:
persistence
does make
a huge
difference
after
a long
time.
because
the waterfall
will eventually
do a
breakthrough,
this can be
used as a
metaphor-
hardwork
pays off.

Winter Escape

Happy Thanksgiving!

The air goes timid,
Lotus pond turns tarnish and dry,
Nothing fishy speaks of liquid fun,
Creeks or streams become flat and shy,
The field stops breathing
upon silver fogs and shivering wind.
It's time to pause,
and think of spring or summer time,
with jackets handy,
ready to ski or pack your peanut butter sandwiches,
remember instant coffee, and mash mellow cups..
Celebrating thanksgiving at your choice hotel
or favorite city, smile a lot...
nothing hurts when writing suddenly fails,
and you simply wish to spend some cash on recalling the past.

The Game of Game!

when all the cards are in
and after all the chips are considered,
The arguments argued,
The dirt dug out,
I wonder
if people will remember
what you're achieved,
and conclude
that you have played
a balanced fair game
of game
on love,
or fame?

Our Smoke Has Gone Four Ways By Lance Henson

Our smoke has gone four ways,
It calls for us
~
My friends smile with tears
We may never meet again.
~
Eagle of fire whose
wings are scented cedar.
~
Moon of forever who
guards the sacred seed.
~
Keep us strong
to meet the
coming days.

Pig= Hogs =Zhu, Monkey King = Sheng Wu Kong, Zhu Ba Jie =Eighth Pig Guy (Characters in Shi You Ji)

Zhu Ba Jie

Hogs are wild ones,
While pigs are domestic ones,
Both make pork meat,
They eat plants,
wild ones, and wheat shells,
go "oink oink" loudly,
Pigs are pink, mostly,
Slow thinking and fat,
Some gives a metaphor
referring "lazy folks' as pig persons...
.

At "The Journey To The West",
a world famous book (Shi' You' Ji),
There is a character pig,
he is called "Zhu Ba Jie"
,
or Eighth Pig Guy,
Which is full of silly
but fantastic events,
as Tang'Sheng as the monk,
traveling to the west to get "Holy Treasure" or "Jin",
The Monkey King called
"Sheng' Wu' Kong", who has
been a godly monkey,
who is capable of fighting
and discovering evil spirits,
and making sure his Boss safe...
